We Need Umpires for Softball and Baseball

Umpire training

There is umpire training Sunday April 17th, 2011 2p-3p on ERMS Field #3.  This is the last training session.

Thank you

The Umpire is an important part of Little League Baseball and Softball,  As a non-profit organization  Little League is in great need of volunteer umpires. We have very few volunteer umpires who have graciously given of their time but we are still woefully understaffed. We are seeking volunteer umpires of all ranges of experience, or even no experience at all. You can progress at your own comfort level and start off slow as you receive on-the-job training. All equipment is provided and all we ask of you is your time.

Jay Leno:  "I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up.  I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball.  I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football.  And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a umpire."
